Magnus is the last of his full Accoyo sire's line, and has fineness, crimp and luster in abundance, plus the potential to produce elite-fibered colored alpacas. His dam, Goldie is a full Peruvian light fawn female, with crimp, fineness and beautiful consistency to her fleece, which earned her the second place ribbon in a very competitive 2003 AOBA Nationals fleece show. Magnus was sired by the full Accoyo Trujillo Alto Peru (deceased), an impressive son of Ppperuvian Mr President with exquisite fiber  - 18.6 AFD with an SD of 3.9 and 0.7 % of fibers over 30 micron at 5 years of age! We retain 5 breedings to Magnus at this price, and he has started breeding. Magnus has won numerous halter and fleece awards, including 1st out of 12 entries in the prestigious National Fiber to Fashion Spinoff, 2nd in the 2008 MAPACA Spinoff, the largest alpaca show in the US, 2nd out of 9 in the AOBA National SpinOff and first out of 13 entries at the 2008 VAOBA Expo, earning the second highest score in the entire competition! Iona's second true black Knightrider son arrived on the morning of November 3rd, a few minutes before Nola's pinto daughter. His head and chest were out while her head and legs were presenting! He is a beautiful non-fading, non-tipping true black 20lb male, with soft-handled, crimpy fiber, excellent conformation and a perfect bite. This grandson of 5Peruvian Black Ice and CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon is as strong as an ox and has a wonderful, proud presence and "look-at-me" attitude. He is the first cria everyone picks out in the herd. This 3/4 Peruvian true black son of a dense, crimpy black Champion sire, and a fine, soft-handled blue ribbon winning dam has a lot of potential. Update: We are now offering Meghan without ARI papers at a significantly reduced price. She injured her back leg as a cria, and her conformation does not meet our standards, but she is still a sweet-natured female, with lovely fiber, who would make a wonderful pet or companion alpaca. This fawn / indefinite light / light rose grey daughter of our dark brown blue ribbon winning dam, Iris, arrived on October 21, 2010, and she is beautiful. She seems to have her dam's signature silky-soft handle, combined with the fineness of her dark silver grey 3X Champion sire, Nikos. Meghan exhibits uniformity and crimp from both parents and is going to have a gorgeous head too, just like her full brother, Tristan. This granddaughter of the AOBA blue winning silver grey Aussie Rockford, and rose grey Champion McGinnis, looks to be a genetically rose grey alpaca, with potential to produce both rose and silver grey. Her Accoyo Yupanqui and Accoyo Felix bloodlines are an asset in any colored breeding program.

Thistledown's Iona Jaxon Thistledown Isla Nikos
Iona is a sleek and shiny, half-Peruvian, jet black Jaxon / Danko granddaughter. Her dam is a very fine true black Danko daughter (20.3 AFD @ 11 months), with beautiful soft-handled fleece, a lovely typey head, very nice conformation and a friendly, curious nature. Iona's maternal grandmother is a "blue black" Macintosh daughter, with two generations of black in her background and an AFD of 24.4 at 4 years of age. Iona's sire is the 4X Champion true black Peruvian CPeruvian Axtion Jaxon, who has a remarkable show record and superfine, crimpy fleece. In his first year AJ's fiber analysis was AFD 18.4, SD 3.7, CV 20.0, >30 1.4%, which is phenomenal for a true black, and he has won numerous first place and Championship ribbons in major halter and fleece competitions. Iona is bred with our Champion full Peruvian true black male, Knightrider, for your 3/4 Peruvian cria in Fall 2011! Her price includes a free rebreed to PC Peruvian Knightrider.

Awards: Iona won a blue ribbon at her first show, in a juvenile shorn class at the Virginia State Fair in September 2005, and second place in a yearling shorn class at MaPaca in 2006.

 Update: We have decided against selling Isla. A beautiful silver grey half-sister to our Champion grey female, Heather, Isla tipped the scales at 21lbs when she arrived on May 30, 2010. Her multiple award-winning dark silver grey dam, Ishbel, is very smart and loaded with personality, making her one of our favorite females. Ish has exceptional coverage and staple length, plus fine, soft-handled fiber. This little lady's sire is Nikos, our 3X Champion dark silver grey herdsire who is maintaining fineness over time. Isla has fine, dense, soft-handled medium silver grey fiber, with exceptional staple length and a uniform, high frequency, low amplitude crimp throughout. Her conformation, coverage, presence and personality are also excellent. This breeding is a winning combination, and we are so pleased with their beautiful grey offspring that Ish has been bred back to Nikos for her Fall 2011 cria.
